TaobaoWhere most rows come fromThe largest of the four Chinese marketplaces, and the source of the majority of rows on this board. Because individual sellers and established shops trade side by side here, the standard of what you receive can differ enormously from one listing to the next, which is why the photographs taken on arrival are worth more than anything the seller has written.
WeidianSmaller, newer shopsIndependent sellers and boutique storefronts, where new designs tend to appear before the larger platforms stock them. Quantities are often very small, so whether an item is genuinely available is only established at the point of purchase rather than from what the page said yesterday.
1688Supplier pricingThe wholesale end of the market, where prices are quoted with quantity in mind and a minimum order frequently applies. Where that minimum exists it is written on the row, because a figure that depends on buying fifty is not a figure that helps somebody buying one.
JDLicensed shopsOfficial storefronts run under stricter rules, generally reaching the warehouse sooner and issuing proper paperwork. Slightly more expensive in most cases, and considerably easier to predict.
