Getting started

What this board is for, and how to get value out of it

This is a short board of compact things — the sort of items that browse well on a phone and ship cheaply once someone sensible has packed them. Every row is a real listing from one of four Chinese marketplaces. You find something you like, copy the link, and Pikobuy takes it from there. Nothing is sold here, and no payment is ever taken on this site, which is worth knowing before you start.

Find here, buy there

An English board of genuine listings from Taobao, Weidian, 1688 and JD, arranged with smaller goods and phone screens in mind. It is there to guide you towards a decision, and the decision itself gets made somewhere else entirely.

  • Compact goodsrows favour small items that browse well on a phone and pack cheaply
  • Four sourcesTaobao, Weidian, 1688 and JD, with the source recorded on each row
  • Nothing is sold hereyou copy the link you like into Pikobuy when you are ready
  • Support if you need itanything unclear can be asked about from the same screen

Finding things happens here. Buying, checking, holding and shipping happen at Pikobuy — and keeping those separate is deliberate.

Choosing between rows that look the same

Almost anything worth buying turns up under more than one link, and those links rarely agree with one another about the price, the seller or the photographs. Putting two or three of them side by side takes a couple of minutes and is, in truth, the entire reason a board like this one exists.

What a row can tell you, and what it cannot

On the left-hand side you will find the questions this board is genuinely able to answer for you. On the right-hand side are the questions that can only be answered later, by whoever opens your parcel inside a warehouse. Most of the disappointment people describe comes from treating the second list as though it belonged to the first.

❓ Questions only a warehouse can answer

It is worth training yourself to read a price and a set of photographs as a single piece of information rather than two separate ones. Where the photographs are clear and the price sits in the range you would expect, ordering is a reasonable thing to do. Where the same photographs come attached to a much smaller number, you have probably found a good row. Where a large number is supported by nothing but one indistinct photograph, the sensible move is to ask somebody before you spend anything at all.

Everything here was compiled from public material to help you plan. The figures that actually bind, including fees, routes and policies, are published on Pikobuy's own pages.
